Student Spotlight on Nicolas Morvan

By Maurice Tanel

Nicolas Morvan and his Minor PeeWee AA Mississauga Terrier teammates had a very successful 2016-17 season that culminated in their GTHL Championship. Nicolas’ consistent play throughout the season carried into the play-offs and he finished with a GAA of 1.0 over the playoffs, allowing 18 goals in 18 games and 4 shutouts with 2 coming in the championship series. This included an outstanding in a 4-0 championship series game victory with the Terries scoring 2 late empty net goals to close out the game.

The regular season and play-off  performance helped Nicolas stand out and he was selected to the 2017-18 PeeWee AAA Mississauga Reps. The jump to AAA for Nicolas, in my opinion, is overdue but is an example of his never wavering goal to make AAA and the discipline he brought to his preparation process.

During his 5 years as a student at TSO, Nicolas has shown that his greatest quality is the focus and effort he brings to his training.

Nicolas’ confident and composed play is the result of the effort and accountability he brings to becoming better and is always committed to contributing to his team’s success.

Our staff are excited to work with Nicolas throughout the off-season and we are confident he is going to meet the challenges on the road towards his 2017-18 goals.

“Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it & staying with that plan.” – Tom Landry
