Student Spotlight on Patrick O’Leary

By Maurice Tanel

A RECOGNITION OF Patrick O’Leary’S GROWTH Qualities AND milestone achievements

Patrick O’Leary (2000 birth year) played his 2016-17 season with the Midget AAA Mississauga Reps. In addition to his regular starts with the Reps, Patrick played 3 games with the Mississauga Chargers (1-1-1 record) and took full advantage of the opportunity to practice and backup for the Mississauga Steelheads for the first two rounds of the OHL playoff.

O’Leary’s busy season culminated by being selected in the fourth round of the 2017 OHL Midget Draft by the Windsor Spitfires. This was a special achievement for Patrick as he had been overlooked in the 2016 OHL Priority Draft but Patrick would not be denied his goal to be drafted.

During his 8 years as a student at TSO, Patrick has shown that his greatest quality is the commitment he brings to his preparation. I am always impressed with Patrick’s ability to set goals and the determination to achieve them.

Our staff are excited to work with Patrick throughout the off-season and we are confident he is going to meet the challenges on the road towards his 2017-18 goals.

“Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it & staying with that plan.” – Tom Landry
