Skills & Drills CLINICS (Fall/Winter)

The training purpose of the Fundamental programs is to ensure the student’s fundamental base is set in place and guide their sustainable development towards mastering the elements of  ARC3 Performance

The FUNDAMENTAL Skills & Drills Clinics are designed to bring awareness to effective body alignment, muscular activation and segment sequencing of the Technical Framework component of the student’s Athletic Structure. The training is delivered in a controlled drill environment and is adjusted according to the development stage of the student.

The weekly lesson plans will focus on isolating the execution keys that will begin to form the following ‘goalie specific skills’

Stance Techniques: Basic Standing – Reaction/Block Butterfly – Post Side Standing – Post Side Vertical Horizontal (VH)– Post Side Reverse Vertical Horizontal (RVH)
Save Techniques: Glove/Blocker – Stick Blade – Chest Protector
Transition Techniques: T-Push – Shuffle – C-Cut – Butterfly Slides – Post to Post (Edges & Slides) Single Leg Recovery – Power Slides

The fundamental training method is targeted towards students who is developing their technical skills and commonly ranges from 6 years of age and older

The Fall/Winter Clinic schedule spans over 24 weeks of the season and can be registered in Four (4) separate 6-Week Training Cycles.

The ADVANCE Skills & Drills Clinics are designed to strengthen the Body and Edge Control to transition effectively in the crease, develop the use of vision to process the specific information and react, and challenge the Command, Compete, Composure elements of crease control.

The weekly lesson plans will focus on Dynamic and Reaction training approach that will simulate the following ARC3 Performance components.

Athletic Structure: Technical Framework – Body and Edge Control
Reaction Engine: Use of vision to link puck release reads to timely execution
Crease Command: Tactical approach to establish and maintain the position
Crease Compete: Read-Recognize-React process with technical skill, tactical purpose and at the right time.

Summer CAMPS

The 5 Day Full Day FUNDAMENTAL Summer Camp is structured around building the student’s technical skills and targeted towards the Fundamental Profile student that commonly ranges from 6 years of age and older. The program will reinforce these basic skills through the concentrated skill repetition from a Full Day syllabus that focuses on specific execution keys with an ‘Isolate’ and ‘Control’ training speed that is level appropriate.

CAMP SYLLABUS – The daily training will contain components of the following skills:
Stance Techniques: Basic Standing – Post Side Standing – Butterfly – Vertical Horizontal (VH) – Reverse Vertical Horizontal (RVH)
Save Techniques: Glove/Blocker – Stick Blade – Chest Protector

  • CAMP ITINERARY
  • 3 hrs ON ICE each day that includes both power skating and fundamental drills
  • 1 hrs OFF ICE each day with a focus on “basic athletic skills” training that will emphasize Stability and Balance (Students should bring proper gym attire)
  • 1 hrs CLASSROOM each day which includes review of student’s videos from On Ice sessions along with technical and tactical theory coaching.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All students will need full goalie equipment, gym attire, and a bag lunch

The 4 Day Full Day ADVANCE  Summer Camp is structured to challenge physical, technical and tactical skills of the Advance & Elite Profile student who demonstrates competent to proficient mechanics. The student will be challenged with drills that are level appropriate and can be executed at a Dynamic and Reaction training speeds. The daily lesson plans will emphasis continued building of the student’s Athletic Structure along with challenging their Reads and Tactical Execution of their Reaction Engine

The LEVEL UP program will provide you with the Preparation Resources and Support Coaching that will give you the best chance of achieving the vision of your next performance ‘LEVEL UP’.
